This was the home of the Blencowe Family.
My great great Grandfather William Reed was their Coachman.
William Reed was the son of William and Harriet Reed, born in Maresfield Sussex in 1850 his father william Reed was also born in Maresfied in 1825.

This is fascinating stuff and I definitely have additional photographs of your family that you would find of interest. If you send me your e-mail address I'll send you what I have. There is certainly a photograph of Herbert Reed and I believe of Mrs Reed. It's interesting to see that Charles Colbourn was a patient of Edith's. I didn't actually know this but it does date his arrival in Chailey to June 1916 at the earliest (unless he had also been a patient at Hickwells).
